HEAD OF THE OFFICE FOR FIGHT AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN HUMAN BEINGS ZORAN ULAMA WAS IN THE OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR TO KOSOVO

 Delegation of the Government of Montenegro led by the Head of the Office for Fight Against Trafficking in Human Beings Mr Zoran Ulama, together with the representative of the Police Directorate, Senior Police Inspector Mr Marko Brajović, representative of  the High Prosecutor's Office, Deputy Basic Prosecutor's Office Mr Saša Čađenović, representative of the Administration for Inspection Affairs, Chef  Labour Inspector Angelina Međedović and representative of the Ministry of Interior, Advisor in the Office for Fight Against Trafficking in Human Beings Ms Tijana Šuković, in the period of 28-29 of March, 2013, officialy visited Ministry of Interior to Kosovo.

 

The meeting was initiated by the Ministry of Interior to Kosovo, with the aim of  developing  and strenghtening bilateral cooperation between the two countries on the fight against trafficking in human beings.The meeting was opened by the Deputy Minister of Interior to Kosovo and National Coordinator for fight against trafficking in human beings, Mr Saša Rašić. Representatives of the Ministry of Interior of the two countries- Office for Fight against Trafficking in Human Beings , Police Directorate, Prosecutor's Office, Labour Inspectors, presented the review of the future cooperation on fight against trafficking in human beings, together with the identification of joint activities that should be undertaken in the future,with  the aim of supressing human trafficking.

 

It was concluded on the meeting that  these two countries have a lot of areas for improving the cooperation on fight against trafficking in human beings, through intensifying joint activities in solving identified problems, among whom in the first line, is the problem of begging, sexual and labour exploitation. Thitherward is agreed to intensify the direct communication between the representatives of the law enforcement agencies for proactive identification, protection of victims of human trafficking and criminal prosecution of perpetrators.

 

Chiefs of delegations of Montenegro and Kosovo, Zoran Ulama and Saša Rašić, agreed on holding the next meeting  of  the responsible authorities of the two countries in Podgorica, on the mid-May 2013. The meeting will serve to determine the place and time of signing the bilateral Agreement between the two countries  about the cooperation on fight against trafficking in human beings.
